QUILT CLUB
About
25 members meet every Wednesday at
9:00 a.m.
in the
Club House II TV Room. We have a wide variety of quilting talents. Anyone
interested is welcome! Our many activities include quilt technique
demonstrations, quilt block exchange, a bus trip to several quilt shops,
quilting on our own projects and lots of sharing and show and tell. We also make
quilts for seriously ill and traumatized children from infants to young adults
and donate them to “Project Linus”. (Named after the blanket toting
character in Charles Schultz’s Peanut comic strip.)
We make an opportunity quilt each year. Tickets are on sale now from any club
member or at the MWF Ticket Sales in
Clubhouse II for $1 or 6 for $5. The profits go to our RCB Activities
Association.
Our
Annual Quilt Show is the second Saturday in March. This year it is March 14,
2009 from
9:00 a.m.
to
2:00 p.m.
The
drawing for our opportunity quilt and presentation of our Linus Quilts takes
place at the show. There will be lots of beautiful quilts and door prizes. Be
sure to come it’s free!
